For determining the drop point of greases i.e. the temperature at which the grease under goes transition from the solid or semi-solid state to liquid state.
It consists of a brass cup 7.5 mm internal dia at wider end, a metal case and cylindrical metal sleeve, a glass boiling tube, beaker, stirrer and 7 mm dia steel ball.
