The hand compactor is used to determine density of the soil and the relationship between the density and moisture context so as to confirm the maximum dry density and relative moisture content of the soil. With some features of light-duty and heavy-duty use, the hammer weight can be changed from 2.5kg to 4.5kg. the height and the weight of the hammer are adjustable so as to suit for testing requirements.
