Portable compactor is used to determine the relationship between soil density and water content, to determine the maximum dry density and the corresponding optimum water content.
The instrument is both available in light and heavy modes, and the hammer weight can be changed from 2.5Kg to 4.5Kg.
Hammer weight and drop height can be adjusted to suit different test requirements.
